The New York Marathon Charity Challenge is officially Launched.
April 29, 2009
Flight Centre and The McGuinness McDermott Foundation hosted the Launch of the New York Marathon Charity Challenge on Tuesday night the 28th April at Next Generation Gym.
The Gym was a perfect venue to get the Marathon participants excited about the event, the training and the preperation that will be required.
A "Training Diary" was given to all participants to help them to keep track of their fitness training and progression over the next 6 months, as well as a fundraising pack containing ideas to help raise funds.
Some participants are first timers to the Marathon, others have ran one or two, but the record of the group was 17 Marathons.
The participants will now begin their training and fundraising with the proceeds coming back to MMF to continue on with our work with Children with cancer and serious illness.
